The CME Academy is a premium medical education initiative dedicated for continuous medical education for medical officers and house-officers. Slots will be opened for interested physician assistants, nurses, and foreign-trained graduates in transit.

Systematic Assessment and Supportive Measures (ABCDE)
Decontamination and Elimination of Poisons
Poison Antidotes and their administration
Psych Assessment of a poisoning patient
Module 2 – Toxidromes (Causative Agent; Pathophysiology; Clinical Features; Treatment)
Sympathomimetic toxidromes
Cholinergic toxidromes
Anti-cholinergic toxidromes
Opiate toxidromes
Module 3 – Diagnostic and Management Approach to Commonly Ingested Poisons in Ghana
Adult Poisoning – Sources, Diagnosis and Management of Organophosphate poisoning; Opioids and other party/recreational drugs;
Common Medications: Paracetamol, Salicylates, Tricyclic poisoning
Important Labs for Diagnostic and Therapeutic Management/Monitoring
Pediatric Poisoning – Common causes, diagnosis and management (caustic soda; kerosene; medications e.t.c.)
Alcohol Withdrawal – Diagnosis and Management
